Mini-implant Placement and Restoration
Implants come in many lenths and diameters which are indicated primarily by the amount of bone available to place the implant in. For standard or large diameter implants the patient needs to have relatively good health and preferably be a non-smoker.
Do you lack the volume of bone, the relatively good health, or the money required to do traditional implants. Small diameter (mini) implants are small enough to not require much bone so they are especially helpful in shrunken ridges. They are placed with a minimally invasive technique, so your health does not have to be great and even moderate smoking is generally not a problem. Finally, they cost less than regular implants. They are especially helpful in stabilizing dentures and can at times be used to replace individual teeth.
