Dr. Ward graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A & M University and then attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating in 1984. He has completed thousands of hours of continuing education since graduation beginning with a General Practice Residency in Omaha, Ne.

Dr. Ward has taken post-graduate courses in all aspects of dentistry including extensive training in orthodontics, laser periodontics, dental implant surgery and restoration,  and sedation dentistry. He has been practicing comprehensive general dentistry for 32 years and  has been practicing in Big Spring for 28 years. 

Dr. Ward is a past president of the Permian Basin District Dental Society. He also is a member of the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He is an Associate Fellow of the  Academy of Gp Orthodontics and is a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced  Laser Dentistry and  the  American Dental Implant Association. He also has  Mastership status with the International Dental Implant Association.  He recently finished serving 4 years on the Texas Dental Association Council on  Dental Economics. Dr. Ward is specially licensed by the state of Texas to provide nitrous oxide sedation and oral sedation.

Dr. Ward has been married to his wife, Ann, for 33 years. They have two daughters, April and Crystal. April is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and Harvard Law School. She, her husband Ben, and daughter Clara  reside in Ft. Worth. Crystal, an all-state flutist in high school, is a Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences graduate of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Crystal, her husband Scott, and son Colin  live in the Houston area.

Dr. Ward believes his blessings are too numerous to list here, but here's a few anyway... being raised by  loving Christian parents, a wonderful and supportive wife, believing adult  children who make their parents proud, two grandkids,  a great education, the chance to serve in the USAF as a young man, the chance to live the USA and in West Texas, good health, a fantastic office staff,  and most of all, to be a child of God.
